Della aka Casey had been through a lot. As a matter of fact, all of her “sisters” had been through a lot when they were placed in a home. I liked how they all were different physically and personality wise. Now, as far as Luca goes, it’s funny how he started off as a stranger that she had a crush on. She definitely was a stalker. Following him and writing him...interesting. But, I get how she felt it was something she had to do. It’s crazy the degrees of separation that was happening with all the characters. I’m glad that her and Luca ended up together. It was really sweet how he reciprocated her with a journal of his own. Good read.Product details

Dear Mystery Guy Magnolia Sisters Book 1 edition by Brenda Barrett Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This is a great start for this series. God knows the beginning and the ending. Mystery Guy was Della's guardian angel and through all of Della's ups and downs, God had her covered. This was a fantastic book and I was shaking my head and saying "unbelievable" and smiling at the outcome. This is a must read and this would be an excellent book for your book club. Mrs. Barrett has done an excellent job.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The plot kept me engrossed the entire time and I did not put the book down until the end of the story. Sure, the events fell into place almost too conveniently but a good story does not have to be plausible or mirror life in its entirety. There were a couple of inauthentic inclusions that were a bit distracting. The references to "State" and "Senator" are not exactly Jamaican in nature. Jamaica is not and does not have states or senators. Despite those minor errors, I really loved the book and will definitely read the other stories in the series.
I love the way this book ended! It was wonderful how Della/Casey and Luca ended up together! I kept trying to figure out how Josephine and Della were connected after the dreams started, but it was not what I thought! Thank you Brenda Barrett for a great book, now I'm off to start book two!
I was waiting on the continuation of another book I was reading and chose to read this one based on reading the New Song Series books before by Brenda Barrett. I thought I'd just read the 1st book and stop, but once again she has me hooked.
The Magnolia Sisters are not your normal sisters, but the way they come together and show such love for each other, makes you relate to them so easily. Della's story had me teary eyed on a few occasions. I love the way the author is not afraid to show the love of God through her work. The only downside for me was that it seemed to start out kind of slow. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
Another exceptional book from Brenda Barrett. She is an awesome writer. I truly love her books. I really can't wait until the next series come out. I am on book 2 or 3. I forget which one because I read them one after the other. I'm reading about Caitlin now. It is not as good as this one but it's getting better by the minute. I think I just like Della Golden or Casey and her story. It still does take away from what Brenda Barrett writes. I love them all.
Wow! this book was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I recommend anyone to read it. I really loved how everything about Della Gold unfolded. This book had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more and how things were going to happen. I read it in a day!!!! Get this book you won't be disappointed. I am eager to know how the remaining stories of the Magnolia Sisters will unfold as well. GREAT BOOK BRENDA! I can't wait to read the next!
Another awesome book by Brenda Barrett that I could not put down. I can't wait to read book 2 of the Magnolia Sisters. I am a true believer in fate and God ordained life series. The world needs more people like Patricia Benedict who has a heart of gold, a heart full of compassion, a heart so filled with love for humanity. Because she dared to demonstrate her love, she gave hope to so many hopeless individuals.
